The thing is, this thing is all it is...

The thing is, this thing is all it is... engages with the experience of materials. Sculptures composed of wood and plastic populate parts of the floor, and light bulbs emit a soft glow from the shapes. A ramp and platform direct the viewer through a lit hallway while assemblages of wood, metal, and other garbage rise from the ground. Through the accumulation and recycling of common debris, the exhibition deals with ideas of industrial and personal waste. It is a collection of materials and objects which find new definitions through artistic treatment. Using colour and composition, the experience becomes specific to itself. The thing is, this thing is all it is... attempts to create a peculiar circumstance for the viewer through the abstraction of visual elements.
